About MIAK Corp:
Descending from a well-established commercial background with a family-history in glass and crystal
production, the founder M. Ibrahim Arabi Katbi started his own line of trade in power tools presented
by Makita Electric Work.
1991
MIAK was officially established in 1991.
The main business field was power tools represented by the Makita
Japanese power tools.
1992
In 1992, we started a professional maintenance workshop to better
serve our clients and provide on-site service.
1994
In 1994, we achieved a significant milestone by introducing Kärcher
to the Syrian market for the first time. As the officially appointed
agent, we took pride in pioneering the presence of this world-renowned German brand, setting a new standard for cleaning technology in the region.
1995
With a visionary administration and dedication to quality and
customer satisfaction, the company celebrated its growth in 1995 by
its 100-distributor network that covers entire Syria.
1998
In 1998, our corporation celebrated the joining of the Denmark
Cleaning System service presented by Nilfisk. We offer industrial
cleaning equipment and project solutions, in addition to furnishing car
washer plants with A-Z equipment.
2002
In 2002, a new field of service was added to our group represented in
SMC Pneumatics, a famous reputable Japanese company, one of the
top multinational companies worldwide. The company deals with
pneumatics systems and solutions.
2003
Early 2003, we have launched the welding machines of the pioneer
Lincoln-Electric Bester. The company is considered the best in
welding machines and welding solutions with a curriculum of its own
and many patent licenses.
2005
In 2005, we established a branch in Jebel Ali Free zone – Dubai,
U.A.E. where we distribute the DWT power tools to the Middle East
& Africa region.
2008
In 2008, our strategic growth reached a significant milestone as we
officially partnered with the renowned American brand, DEWALT.
This collaboration established our company as the Authorized Agent
in Syria, allowing us to bring world-class industrial power tools and
engineering excellence to the local market.
2026
In 2026, we proudly expanded our portfolio by entering into a strategic partnership with Vileda Professional, a globally recognized German leader in professional cleaning solutions. This new collaboration reinforces our long-standing commitment to delivering world-class quality and innovation across all sectors we serve. As the newly appointed authorized distributor, we are now positioned to offer Vileda’s advanced cleaning systems and professional hygiene solutions, further strengthening our comprehensive offering in the industrial and commercial cleaning market.
